Therapy in Disguise.

Therapy in Disguise.

Not quite therapy. Not quite photography. Something else entirely.

This isn’t a photoshoot.

And it’s not about performance.

No one’s asking you to smile.
You don’t need to explain your whole life. You don’t even need to be “ready.”

You just show up — as you are.
In that coat you’re unsure about.
With that feeling you can’t name.
Messy, quiet, open, closed — all of it belongs.

That’s where we begin.

What this is (and isn’t)

It’s not therapy — though something might shift.
It’s not coaching — but you might feel clearer.
It’s not traditional photography — no one’s asking you to pose.

There might be photos.
But you’ll be the one holding the camera.

This isn’t about your face.
It’s about what you carry.
What wants to be seen — even if you don’t have the words for it yet.

✔ What I offer

A guided creative process that blends:

  • documentary thinking

  • symbolic objects

  • somatic attention

  • reflective structure

  • social work logic

  • positive psychology

  • emotional curiosity

  • photography (but not the kind you’re used to)

We’re not chasing a final image.
We’re creating something slower — a symbolic record of who you are right now.

It might become:

  • a book

  • a set of images

  • a visual journal

  • a map back to something you almost forgot

Or maybe just something quiet you keep — for when everything else feels a bit too much.

This process doesn’t analyse you.
It doesn’t try to fix you.
But it often brings change. Awareness. Resolution.
The kind that gives you freedom.

✔ Why it matters

Because some parts of us go quiet.
Because trauma doesn’t always speak in words.
Because memory gets stored in posture, gesture, and half-forgotten rituals.

This process helps you listen to the stories your nervous system still remembers — the ones that show up in your hands, in how you take up space, in what you choose to photograph when no one is watching.

It’s somatic — without being clinical.
This is the kind of shift you feel in your chest before your brain catches up.

We don’t push for change.
But something usually shifts.
Sometimes quietly. Sometimes all at once.

  • You bring something — or nothing.

  • Maybe go for a walk. Maybe stay in one place.

  • You’ll decide what matters, what feels right, what surprises you.
I’ll be there to hold the shape of it — but you’re the one building it.

  • No pressure to “express yourself.”
We just let the meaning find its own way in.

How This Works?

✨  But especially people:

But especially people:

  • in-between roles, identities, chapters

  • grieving something

  • building something

  • tired of pretending

This is for people who feel a little lost, a little lucid, and a little like they’re ready to feel something real again —but don’t want to talk about it all day.

Who it’s for

Anyone.

This isn’t therapy.
There’s no diagnosis. No plan. I’m not a licensed therapist.

But what I offer is shaped by trauma-informed practice, social work, positive psychology, and emotional logic.
It’s thoughtful. Symbolic. Sometimes life-shifting.
A space for noticing, processing, exploring — and growing.

It’s not here to replace therapy.
But it can sit beautifully beside it — and often, it reaches something therapy wasn’t built for.
